Creators Headquarters Nepal ("CHQ", "we", "us") runs a creator hub in Kathmandu: studios, editing, workshops and brand collaborations, delivered through a mobile app, an admin desk and this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect from creators, members, brands and visitors, why we collect it, who sees it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Nepal's Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018).
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares with us. We keep a hashed password if you set one; we never see it in plain form.
- Creator profile: your bio, niches, city and country, languages, audience size, links to your social accounts, past brand work and portfolio links, so we can match you with campaigns.
- Connected social accounts: if you connect YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, we receive the account name and audience figures (such as followers, views and engagement) that the platform shares with us, and we store the access needed to refresh them. You can disconnect at any time, and the platform lets you revoke access from its own settings. Where you do not connect an account, the figures you enter are self-declared and marked as such.
- Campaign work: offers you receive, your replies, the agreements you sign (your typed name, the time and your IP address), the content and links you submit, and our review notes.
- Payout and tax details: the bank or wallet account you want paid into, your PAN where tax rules need it, and the amounts paid and tax withheld, so we can pay you and give you a statement.
- Bookings and payments: the rooms, gear and sessions you book, entry passes, and the amounts paid. Online payments are processed by eSewa or Khalti; we do not see or store your wallet credentials or card details.
- Brand details: a brand's name, logo, contact person, PAN/VAT number and registration document.
- Usage and device data: which screens you use, your device type and app version, a push-notification token, and error reports, so we can fix problems and improve the app.
- Website and enquiry forms: what you type into a booking, registration or contact form on our website, and the security check that protects those forms.
How we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
- To match creators with brand campaigns, manage offers and agreements, review submitted work and pay creators.
- To take bookings, issue entry passes, process payments and send receipts.
- To award and track membership points and tiers.
- To send notifications you have not turned off, such as campaign offers, deadlines, booking reminders and payment updates.
- To understand how the app is used, to prevent fraud and fake audience figures, and to meet our legal and tax duties.
Who sees your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:
- Brands. A brand running a campaign can see an approved creator's public profile, niches and audience figures when it searches or shortlists, and the work you submit for its campaign. A brand does not see your phone number, payout details or private account data.
- Service providers that run parts of the service for us: payment providers (eSewa, Khalti), Google (sign-in and push notifications), the social platforms you connect, our hosting and file-storage providers, email and SMS delivery, and error monitoring. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
- Tax and legal authorities when the law requires us to, for example to report tax withheld on creator payments.
- A buyer if CHQ is ever merged or sold, under the same protections as this policy.
Some of our providers run their systems outside Nepal, so your information may be processed in other countries. We only use providers that protect it to a comparable standard.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active and for as long afterwards as needed for bookings, payments, tax and accounting records, and to resolve disputes. Financial and tax records are kept for the period the law requires. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise what we are not required to keep.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your profile in the app, and turn individual notification types on or off.
- You can disconnect any social account and opt out of analytics in the app's settings.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to restrict how we use it, or to delete your account, using the contact below. We will reply within a reasonable time and tell you if we cannot do something and why.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, hashed credentials and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in methods private and tell us at once if you suspect misuse of your account. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
CHQ is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we publish a new version on this page with its effective date. If a change is significant we will also tell you in the app.
